Erin & Mahen – Married! | New Hampshire Omni Mount Washington Wedding

Erin and Mahen were supposed to get married in spring 2020… but you know what happened… so they opted to tied the knot in a small celebration that fall, with only their families in attendance. Then they waited, waited, waited until the day they could celebrate with their extended family and friends. (And while they waited, they welcomed their son Ian to the world!!) Finally, May 20, 2022 arrived and it was time to get everyone together for the biggest celebration ever!

All of their wedding weekend events took place at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, a stunning place with tons of old New England history. Erin and her girls got ready on one side of the long hotel, while Mahen and his guys got ready on the other.

Erin and I met in kindergarten and have been friends ever since, so this whole day was pretty special and also surreal for me to be photographing! I still kind of can’t believe it!

E+M opted to do a first look – in my opinion, the best part of any wedding day – and it was the sweetest. They are the sweetest. Just joy. Look at that joy.

We wandered the grounds making portraits of their love. A together, comfortable, quiet confidence kind of love.

The ceremony was bright and sunny and windy, with beautiful views of the New Hampshire mountains behind Erin and Mahen. Both Sri Lankan and American traditions took place during the ceremony!

Sri Lankan drummers danced Mahen and Ian down the aisle, a colorful and meaningful display.

Erin and her parents followed, with the biggest smiles ever. I love this photo!

They picked up their son Ian, who was hanging out with various family members during the ceremony, and recessed together as a sweet snuggly family.

We took formals on the Omni Mount Washington’s expansive porch that overlook the mountains. This group of friends was so fun to photograph!

Inside at the reception, the florals were lush, the lighting was low, and the vibes were immaculate.

Mother and son, mother and son, is anyone else crying yet.

We took a quick sunset portrait break and CAN I JUST SAY. I mean. REALLY!? Ugh. So good.

And the rest of the night looked a little like this!
