In a perfect world, I would chat over coffee with every single person who reads this blog. But seeing as y’all are all over the country, that’s probably never going to happen 🙁 . So think of these blog posts a virtual coffee date between you and I! <3

I haven’t blogged a YMC since that really vulnerable one a couple weeks ago. It took a lot of energy outta me & I needed a little break from personal blogging! But we’re back and better than ever. This one’s going to be longer, because life lately has been pretty great.
Things on the LFR front are going well. I launched a new blog that I am really excited about and would be honored if you followed along with the lettering fun over there! I’ve been very inspired lately, and therefore my shop has been extra-full of extra-pretty things the last week or so. Check it out!
Two Sundays ago we took a detour on our way home from a family party to stop and watch the sun set on top of Pegan Hill. It was gorgeous. Weekends this time of year are so precious. Nate has been working most Saturdays since January, and my weekends are about to get pretty crazy with shoots and weddings. Watching the sun set together seems like just a little thing, but it was really necessary and special (and beautiful!).
I recently took a day trip down to CT to see two of my bests and their adorable kiddos. I met Sarah the summer of 2004 and Amy the summer of 2005. TEN years later and they still remain two of my favorite friends. It’s kind of mind-blowing, but equally amazing, to see them both grow into their role of ‘Mom’ to their littles. God is good and I really can’t thank Him enough for the gift of friendship!
We went up to visit my parents in Portsmouth and decided it would be a good beach day. Except that when we got there, it was so windy and cold and not springy at all. But hey, a beach is a beach, and I’m always happy on a beach. Also, we’re not usually this preppy, ha! ALSO we ate EVERY sample at the When Pig’s Fly flagship store and brought home TWO loaves (and two cookies) and were the HAPPIEST people in New England.
I stepped away from social media this past weekend. Which really meant, I left my phone in the car for a lot of the events and get-togethers we went to. I am so attached and feel the need to take photos of pretty much everything. Which is a blessing and a curse at the same time. A blessing because we have so many photo albums filled with memories, but a curse because it means I’m worrying about getting the perfect shot and not living in the moment. So I didn’t take any pictures this weekend. We had a ton of fun things planned (brunch, block parties + a BBQ), and I may feel a little sad that I can’t share any photos with you, but actually, it was really good for me to step away. I remember so much, and I had so much fun. There were friends and music and good food and it was exactly what I needed! I may do more social media free weekends in the future because I think it’s important to be present and enjoy yourself without the pressure of getting an instagram-worthy picture!
Happy Monday!
