Recent Work | January + February

February 6, 2017

These early weeks of 2017 have yielded more photo shoots than my past early-weeks-of-the-years, and for that I am thankful! January was pretty mild which made it easy to keep taking pictures, and February hasn’t been too cold either! I am just awaiting a mega snowstorm. Like, it has to be coming, right? Anyways, first I met up with Cara in Newton Center to take new photos for her lifestyle blog. Newtonville Books was super nice and let us take a few photos in their bookstore! I also love a classic brick wall *heart eyes* (need new blog pictures? here is why you should work with me!)

I recently embarked on a personal photo project called “My Element”. It’s a portrait project that will hopefully be something I can work on throughout the whole year. This first phase is taking images of my runner friends in their outdoorsy, trail-running element. I’m already having SO much fun with this & I hope you’ll stay tuned over the next few months – my goal is photograph more athletes in their element.

The ladies at Blush Tan Co are some of my favorite people to shoot with! This year’s theme was “Love Yourself”, an ode to remembering to treat yo-self this Valentine’s Day (which coming up quickly! omg how is it almost mid-Feb!). I got a chance to take my new backdrop system for a spin at this shoot & look how fun the props were!
I met up with Boston-based style and tech blogger, Ceray, for our very first photo shoot together! She was so fun to photograph and of course I loved using those classic brownstones as a backdrop! So very Boston of us 😉 Can’t wait to share more from her session!

Very thankful for these busier-than-usual winter months. Happy Monday! + YAY PATS!
