Because of the pandemic, we are beginning to change the way we view, plan and celebrate marriage. Hopefully it’s not the case, but realistically, we might not see traditional, large weddings for a long time. If not getting married soon is not an option, you still have options!
Elopements are always a good idea. When you elope, you have more time and space to focus on the most important parts of your new marriage, whatever those are to you. And it doesn’t mean you can’t have a few of your friends or family there with you! Bring them along. Elopements can be simple, adventurous, fancy, casual or everything!
Intimate weddings (or “micro weddings”) with 50 people or less are a beautiful way to still have your closest people by your side. These weddings have the traditional feel (getting ready, ceremony, reception, first dance, ect), but with a smaller guest list than typical. Because of the smaller guest lists, you can get really creative with your location – think trendy restaurant, a stunning outdoor location like a mountaintop, or even on a boat!
Your love is the most important thing! Communicate openly with each other and be flexible with new ideas and plans. <3 And remember, your vendors are amazing resources and will work with you to make sure your celebration is exactly what you are envisioning.
