What a wild, wild time we are living in. I hope you are all staying home and staying safe.
The weekend before we (and most of the country) officially went into social distancing mode, we took a trip up to NH to see my side of the family on a springy day. Little did we know it would be the last trip for a long while. So glad I took these photos!
Since March 13th, our little family has been keeping to ourselves for the sake of flattening the Covid-19 curve, aka social distancing. Nate is working from home, and Julien and I are spending way more time outside on walks and in the backyard. We miss going to the library and the park, but we are finding ways to stay entertained and learning. Here are some photos our first weeks as a socially distant family.
I have to be honest. 15 days into our new socially distant lifestyle, the reality of this experience we are living hit me alllllll at once. How long we might be in “quarantine mode”. The fact that my kid might not see his grandparents for multiple months. That I probably won’t have work for multiple months. The fact that so many things we love to do are not available and we don’t know how long that will be the case. It all caught up to me and made me really sad 🙁 So yeah…. not everything is all fun and outside games over here.
BUT. As a way to meet my neighbors and document this weird time of life, (and honestly, to have something on my calendar) I started walking around my neighborhood to take photos of my neighbors in their front yards. It’s been great getting to know people who live so close to me, and learning more about the place we live. I named the project #SRPneighbors and I will share more photos in a blog post soon!
STAY SAFE YALL. Love you.
