Winter Bucket List

December 12, 2019

I want to get back in the swing of things with this blog being a place I share normal, everyday life stuff and not only recent photo shoots! So here goes!

This is my tiny Toons! Last winter Julien was a blobby newborn, so this is his first winter of potentially (hopefully) enjoying the snow! We ventured out last week after the big storm and he stood in the snow for a bit, but wasn’t really sure what to do. He ate a little of it. He watched Nate shovel. I took photos. Normal family dynamics, I guess 😉

I have a few things I want to do this winter, and surprisingly it’s not all Christmas-related. Only *most* of it is.
Here’s my winter bucket list!
– Host a Christmas cookie decorating party (soon!)
– We’re seeing the Tower Hill Night lights next week. I’ve heard so many amazing things about them, can’t wait.
– Help Julien paint some wooden ornaments. Homemade gifts are my fave.
– Have a solid SRP brainstorm/dream session about 2020!
– Spend a morning shopping on Newbury Street. (will probably be more like window shopping, but that’s still fun).
– Make a snowman. I haven’t done that in forever!
– Getaway trip (to FL! for a friend’s wedding!)
– Christmas movie marathon! What are your faves?

December 21st will be our three month anniversary of living in our new home. We still have a lot of things to do to make it more functional (and pretty 🙂 ) but one big thing we got done in the first month-ish was the kitchen! Here’s a before, middle and after of it (before photo taken from the realtor listing). It started off with both the cabinets and the floor having an orange hue. Though we went to Syracuse, orange really isn’t our color ha! So we hired a professional to paint the cabinets white, which made a huge difference. I’ve always dreamed of open shelving, so we knocked a portion of the corner cabinets out and built some open shelves to fill the space. Lastly, we hired tiling professional to switch out the oversized, bland tiles to a more vibrant, turquoise subway look! I am OBSESSED.

Thanks for hanging out as I try to remember how to blog about everyday life things. It will get easier the more I practice ha!
