I’m happy to announce that I’m now booking elopements all around New England, including Cape Cod, the White Mountains and especially the Greater Boston area! I am so excited for this new aspect of my photography business. Photographing elopements will allow me to adapt my photo business to being a new mom.
To me, ‘elopement’ means intimate. It means focusing on the most important parts of your new marriage, whatever those are to you. And it doesn’t mean you can’t have your friends or family there with you! Choosing to elope simply means you are forgoing the traditional wedding for something more your own style. Whether that’s simple, adventurous, intimate, casual, it’s all up to you. And THAT is beautiful.
So if elopements are supposed to be simpler, why should you hire a photographer for yours? Having a photographer at your elopement is a detail you might not initially think about. Even though elopements are typically smaller than a traditional wedding, I still believe photography is vital for your intimate ceremony. And if not at the ceremony, sometime soon after! The fresh and exciting “WE’RE MARRIED” energy is so beautiful, and something that I really believe should be captured for you! You’ll want to remember that! It’s that type of love and energy that draws me to photography in the first place!
There are so many ways to elope, and so many elopement situations I dream about capturing! You could have a short ceremony by the Boston Harbor, followed by a fancy North End dinner celebration with your closest friends! Or you could go hiking in the White Mountains to be married in front of a stunning view. Maybe you opt for a private courthouse ceremony, with a casual family beach party a few weeks later.
I can’t wait to photograph more elopements in the coming years!
If you are eloping in 2019 and need a photographer for your elopement, especially in the Greater Boston area, or the NH White Mountains, please email me directly at stephanieritaphoto@gmail.com.
