WELCOME TO WKLY! This is my 12th week of posting personal photos and honestly, I’m into it. Especially after last week’s photo fiasco – that whole deal lit a little fire in me. More photos, better photos, DON’T LOSE YOUR PHOTOS. << That’s my new motto btw.
This week was pretty cool. First off, I can’t believe February is over. What?! Like I always say, time flies when you have no idea what’s going on. I’m going to write a few bullet points about my favorites from last week. If you only want to see photos, please, continue down below. đ
Things and Stuff – February 23-March 2
– We had a couple great weather days – SO fresh and inspiring and breezy – and it made me want to paint. So I listened to the feeling and have been watercoloring a little bit each day. I need real spring!
– Our friends from church, Mike and Tracey, had a pancake party on Satuday, a party we OF COURSE attended. The pancakes were actually more like crepes – Mike and Tracey are British, so when they say ‘pancakes’ they’re talking about what Americans know as ‘crepes’. We all took turns making and flipping our own pancrepes, which was a delicious hoot. It was a fun afternoon.
– After that, Nate and I saw the movie Hidden Figures, which I would highly recommend. And after that? An Shake Shack and ice cream date đ
– Nate and I and our friend Kyle took a Sunday road trip up to Portsmouth to visit my parents. Kyle had never been to the area, so my mom had a field day showing him around. She loves playing tour guide. We stopped by some scenic ocean views, perused Sheaf Street Books, ate pizza for lunch at Gas Light, drank coffee at Book & Bar, splurged on chocolate confections at Kilwins, and saw a lighthouse on the coast. It’s official. Portsmouth is the cutest.
– I sent my Nana and Grandpa flowers just for fun. Flowers are pretty and special and I love getting them for myself, but it’s even more exciting to surprise someone else with them. Try it!
– This week is my little swim team’s last week of the season! They’ve worked so hard this year and I’ve loved watching them improve and learn. Their big Championship meet is already this weekend and we have about twice as many swimmers qualified this year than last! So cool. Again, it’s seriously crazy how time flies.
– Wait, can we talk about this? Is it a thing when you get older that time seems to move faster? Maybe it’s because when you’re older, you are more aware of time and therefor it seems to go by quicker? Is this too serious of a topic for this blog…
– Ok, I’m done. Here are this week’s photos.
