Time for the BEST OF 2016!
I can’t write a proper yearly recap if I don’t mention how much of my 2016 was spent wrestling the feelings of uncomfortable chaos, doubt and fear when it came to my business and, honestly, life in general. I didn’t talk much about it on the internet – just one simple blog post which was scary to write. I’m still feeling some of those feelings, but I also feel more peace than ever, and for that I am thankful.
The real life moments that danced across my camera were just as amazing and special as any other year, and definitely helped me grow as a photographer. I’m the luckiest – I spent a lot of my time photographing beautiful weddings, families and people, and from these wonderful people I learned a couple things… Like that there is always something to be grateful for. And that life is more fun when it’s a little unpredictable. And that chubby baby cheeks still rank #1 in what makes me the most happy in life 😉
I typically split these “Best Of” posts into a wedding specific post and a family/portrait specific post, but it didn’t feel right to me to do that this year. So YES, this is going to be very long blog post! I’d suggest you grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the ride.
These images have my heart.
To my 2016 clients, you are all amazing. You keep me inspired to stick with this creative life. You keep me wanting to be better. And as always, I can’t thank you enough for trusting me with your moments. So thank you!!
Personally, I’m looking forward to a life changing 2017. I don’t know in what way, I just know that with all that happened is 2016, 2017 has BOUND to be good. I have a handful of amazing weddings booked and I’m praying for a few more amazing couples to join the SRP family as well!! Excited for all to come!
