New Hampshire, my love! My family is lucky to own a tiny cabin up in the Lakes Region, very close to the White Mountain National Forest. Last spring, Nate and I decided to become hikers after loving our adventures around Acadia National Park in Maine. Since then, we have done many shorter hikes, an international hike, and a lot of woodsy walks, but never a really long hike. My dad, uncle and Grandpa completed the 4000 footer challenge back in the day, so they know all the good NH mountains. Being the newbies that we are, my dad suggested trying Mount Israel, so we did our research and decided that a trek up Mount Israel sounded really good! It was a windy, cold, kind of drizzly day, but we still had fun and experienced some great views!
