If you have followed any form of my social medias over the last year, you know that this logo is not new. One day last summer, after a particularly amazing engagement session on the water, I felt the need to switch things up. So I spent some time drawing up a new logo, fell in love with one of them, and went with it. It was a bit of an impulse change, but thankfully one that my photography business and myself personally have both grown into over the last year.
Ever since I photographed Kim + Thor’s wedding on top of a mountain in Kentucky three summers ago, I knew that Stephanie Rita Photography was destined for outdoorsy greatness. I had never felt more in my element while shooting, and starting then I prayed that I could photograph adventurous people and places more often. Add in our amazing trip to Acadia last spring and that feeling grew even stronger.
As an answer to prayer, every couple I photographed last season had adventurous souls, which pushed me to make better photos for them. And every one of their weddings and engagement sessions had either a stunning view, water, trees, and in a few cases all three! My new logo ended up not even looking that new, because it fit in SO much better than the old one did.
I don’t know why I waited until almost a year later to do an official announcement. Maybe I needed that year to really figure out where the SRP brand was heading, and even though now I feel like I’ve found it, this year has proven to be a little harder than others. I’ve learned a lot more about persistence and determination in the last 6 months than I have in the rest of my life combined. That being said, I am excited for the opportunities God has provided so far and for the awesome couples he’s sent my way. Praying for a fun, spontaneous, creative, productive summer!

Ps- Have you heard of this new trend called “pop up weddings”? I think your spontaneous self would really love shooting them! I’m sure the couples that do them would match well with your adventurous self. 😀
I haven’t heard of these, but I am googling it right now!! 🙂 Sounds so fun!
