Kim + Thor // Married! Part 2 | Red River Gorge, Kentucky Destination Wedding

September 4, 2013

First read Part 1 HERE and then come back and read this entry!

After a delicious dinner, we drove about 30 minutes to Kim and Thor’s wedding ceremony location inย Red River Gorge. It was on the top of a mountain. Down a quarter-mile pathway. On the edge of a CLIFF. Good thing we ate so much food, so we’d have the energy to get there! ๐Ÿ™‚

I really hope these photos do this wedding ceremony and location justice, but it MIGHT just be one of those ‘you had to be there’ scenarios. But take a peek anyways and fall in love with Kentucky! (And Kim + Thor ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Beaming besties. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Things don’t always go perfectly at a wedding. Maybe, sometimes, you even forget to bring your wedding bands along to the ceremony site… But hey, you don’t technically need rings to be married, so K+T went with the flow and exchanged their little treasures at the reception instead.

I almost cried a few times at the amazingness of this view.

Right photo: THE SWEETEST. (P.S. Rocks, trees + mountain views. I was literally about as close to heaven as I’ve ever been while shooting!)

K+T, THIS WAS YOUR WEDDING. Just reminding you. ๐Ÿ™‚

Back to the lodge/mansion for some FUN! And cake. And dancing. And sparklers!

Combining the yellow water of the bride’s side with the blue water of the groom’s side… making green water, to symbolize their new, big, happy family.

Ending on a lovey-dovey note.

Kim + Thor, you already know how much fun I had and how loved I felt during this weekend with you and your families. But I just wanted to say thank you again! And (obviously) I wish you two the best! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh wow- gorgeous! I especially love the ones where you are peering through the branches.

The pictures are so lovely and made me feel like I was there in that magical place. The sparkler heart was so pretty and matched your wedding cake topper–how perfect.
