Remember Jon & Michelle from last fall? Remember how Michelle emailed me saying “Someone at our church said you’re a photographer, will you shoot our wedding?” And remember how I was like “Yes, and then let’s be friends, too!” I sure remember all of that. This past year year Nate & I have gotten to know the two of them better and are lucky to call them friends. You can bet I was excited when Jon & Michelle’s wedding day finally arrived!
Michelle and her girls got ready at a nearby hotel with a great playlist bumpin’ in the background and Dunkin Donutes coffee/munchkins helping them wake up. The ceremony and reception both took place at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stowe, Massachusetts. It was a great venue with lots of country charm! (And really good food 🙂 )
M&J – Your day was beautiful and I hope you enjoy this little snippet of your photos!
The moment the dress goes on is always a special one.
Michelle’s cousins were seriously adorable. That hat definitely makes the outfit!
Jon & Michelle didn’t see each other before their ceremony, but they did hold hands while standing on opposite sides of a corner. “He’s right over there! I can’t believe it!” P.S. This was so fun to witness!
And then it was time. For two people who had been together since basically middle school to get MARRIED.
Michelle read Jon a sweet letter she had written him before the ceremony. And Jon? Well, he concocted a heartfelt message to Michelle right then and there. Both were honest and cry-worthy.
And then they were married! After the ceremony, we drove golf carts around the country club property to find pretty spots to take their portraits. Ever seen a bride and groom drive a golf cart? Now you have.
These two portraits are probably my favorites. Jon gently loving Michelle and Michelle’s contagious laugh!
The handsome/beautiful bridal party, made up of brothers, cousins, sisters and friends.
Jon gave Michelle that purple rock when they were 11. ELEVEN! Betcya then they didn’t know they’d be getting married someday!
Totally in like with their black and pink color scheme, and those flowers? Were amazing.
Their wedding was on a Patriots game day (and both J & M are huge fans), so they had a little tribute to their team on their cake. As well as updates every time the Pats scored (which was quite often seeing as they won 😉 )
My favorite part of this picture is definitely the little kiddos eagerly waiting for their very own piece of cake!
And then there was dancing! To finish off the lovely day.
It was a great day, wouldn’t you agree? If you love J&M, leave them a comment!
