You, Me + Coffee | Cupcakes + Key West!

If we were having a real life coffee date right now, we’d be sitting in a local Miami shop called Eternity Coffee Roasters enjoying their artsy decor and a delicious iced latte. Wait, that’s exactly what I’m doing. Wish you were here!

Last week I joined a group of Boston blogger ladies at Sweet Cupcakes on Newbury Street for a cupcake tasting party! These blogger meet+greet events happen every so often, (coordinated by Boston Bloggers co-founders Alison and Kate) and this was the first one I was able to attend. I’m awkward, but after a few cupcakes I warmed up and had a great time chatting with the other ladies. Sometimes you follow blogs for years and never meet the person behind them, so this event helped me put faces to blogs! Thanks to Sweet Cupcakes for the incredible cupcakes! I will be stopping by often, like, pretty much any time I go downtown. (P.S. Sweet Cupcakes loves catering weddings! Hint hint.)

For the last 4 days I’ve been in Floridaaaaa (little bit of bragging in there, but not much 😉 ). Nate is assigned to a client in Miami all month. A month is a very long time, so I decided to go visit him! I got here Thursday afternoon and when Nate was done working, we went to Perricones, a seafood restaurant nestled in vines, palm trees and white lights (aka: perfect). While Nate was working Friday, I spent the day running on the pier, walking around the downtown area, buying new sandals, and treating myself to sushi.

Saturday we drove down to Key West for a little getaway. Despite it being a very loud, Saint-Patricks-Day-filled weekend, we had a great time exploring the little touristy streets. I loved all the bright colors, crazy island graphic design (it has a life of it’s own), and of course, the people-watching was prime. We were also asked many times if we were on spring break, so I guess we don’t look as old as we think we are. The only dinner place we went to, Alonzo’s Oyster Bar, was seriously amazing and I would recommend their bacon-wrapped shrimp to anyone. (YUP.)

Back to Boston tomorrow! Then only 9 more days until Nate is home for good. The last two months of him constantly traveling has been such a bore.

Come back Wednesday for all the info you’ll EVER NEED about Spring Mini Sessions!
