Before Heather emailed me about shooting her wedding, we hadn’t talked in a long time. You know the drill: people move, real life happens and everything gets busy. So! To hear she was engaged to be married to Chad on June 30th of this year was exciting! She went on to tell me that her older sister and brother-in-law had a hand in setting her and Chad up, and that the rest is history. It was really great to see her and her family (and meet Chad for the first time) last month!
Heather & Chad – Thank you for trusting me with your wedding day photos. It was hot, but you two totally rocked it. I can’t wait to hear stories of how God is working in your new married life! Enjoy your pictures.
Heather’s girls started their ‘getting ready’ process at the church, while Heather was still at the hair salon. All activity stopped as soon as she walked in the door. Lots of oohing and aahhing occurred over the next few minutes, but then it was back to finishing hair, makeup and getting their dresses on!
They first tried to get the dress over her head, but that proved too risky to her flawless updo. So instead, she stepped in and all was well.
This little guy looked sooooo adorable in his mini suspenders!
Heather, you are so beautiful! I love the classic veil.
While taking pictures of the guys, I dubbed this moment “the great suspender debacle”… Let’s just say it took a while for them to figure out how to put them on. =)
Heather and her dad had a moment before he walked her down the aisle.
Chad didn’t want to see Heather until she was at the very end of the aisle. Because she had a little bit of a walk before she actually reached that point, Chad stayed facing backwards until Pastor Jim gave him the go ahead to turn around and see his bride. This was that exact moment, and I just love it.
And on the return end….
Married! So happy.
The first thing they did as newlyweds was dance down the aisle.
Immediately after the ceremony, huggin’ their mammas.
The ladies! Those pink dresses were great.
And the dapper dudes.
A big bridal party group hug, to remember all the love from the day (& those sunglasses are a pretty great addition to the pictures.)
We stole away into the trees and caught some lovely moments.
Under the veil. Kind of a cool angle.
More dancing, on their way into the reception
Homemade yummy cheesecake and delicious toppings.
The dancing at this reception was the best. Even though people really only danced to the line-dance-type songs (like the Macarena, for example), boy were they GOOD at those line dances.
Ohhh and the littlest dancer.
I’m going to close with some very serious wedding advice from Chad’s brothers. =)
Congrats again Heather & Chad!
